David Onoprishvili participates in meetings of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) in Singapore
David Onoprishvili, Chairman of the Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia and a member of the IAIS Executive Committee, is on an official visit to Singapore.
On September 18-19, the joint meeting of the IAIS Executive Committee and the Macroprudential Committee is being held at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, where David Onoprishvili represents the Central, Eastern Europe and Transcaucasia (CEET) region. The meeting discusses current trends and systemic challenges in the insurance sector, aiming to share experience and develop insurance policies that ensure the sustainability and stability of the global insurance market. Additionally, significant organizational structure changes will be clarified and agreed upon.
The agenda of the meeting includes important issues such as: Presentations of current year collective discussions on various insurance topics; Review of monitoring results and systemic risk assessment; Analysis of insurance companies' activities and evaluation of global market trends; Development directions for macroprudential policies; Strengthening international cooperation and sharing experiences.
David Onoprishvili, as a member of the Executive Committee, is actively involved in the ongoing processes of developing international insurance supervision and risk management. His participation in such meetings is important for aligning Georgia’s insurance market with international standards.
