INTERNATIONAL INSURANCE CONFERENCE OF GEORGIA IN TBILISI
On May 4-5, Tbilisi hosted the International Insurance Conference of Georgia. The event was organized by Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia under the auspices and participation of international media agency XPRIMM, specialized in the area of insurance/reinsurance, insurance brokerage and private pension. The conference was held at the conference hall Respublica.
The Conference was opened with a welcome speech of Davit Onoprishvili, director of Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia. Foreign and Georgian experts highlighted the most critical topics of the local insurance industry, current challenges of the insurance market and future prospects related to Solvency II regulatory framework, implementation stages and related challenges.
Moreover, the speakers also prepared presentations about third party mandatory auto insurance, need for its implementation and related issues and challenges.
Along with foreign experts, the event had participants and audience from insurance companies of Georgia, insurance brokers, the representatives of public and financial institutes and other stakeholders.
