What kind of information can be requested and received from public institution?

A person has the right to request any information from a state institution, as well as to receive copies, regardless of their physical state and storage conditions, other than in cases provided by the law and in case the information is attributed to state, commercial or professional secrets, or any personal data. No information can be released, if protected by the executive privilege.

In accordance with the law ,,On Insurance“, Article 29, Paragraph 4, the Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia is entitled to establish the procedure for recognizing information as confidential, issue such information and approve the list of confidential information.
