Is the applicant obliged to pay any fee for public information?

The Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia is obliged to provide access to the copies of public information. No fees can be charged for issuing of public information other than those established by the law of Georgia “On fees for copying of public information”.

The fee for copying public information is a mandatory payment to the budget of Georgia for making a copy by the Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia, which must be paid by an individual or legal entity interested in obtaining such public information.

No additional fees can be charged for copying of public information, other than those provided by the above law.

See below the fees for copying of public information:

a) A4 and A5 format paper copy – one page – GEL 0,05;

b) Laser printing – one page – GEL 0,10;

c) Copying on compact disc – 1 disc – GEL 2,65;

d) Copying on floppy disc – 1 disk – GEL 1,3;

e) Copying on the applicant’s video cassette – 1 hour – GEL 2,75;

f) Copying on the applicant’s audio cassette – 1 hour – GEL 0,50.

At the same time, the law of Georgia “On fees for copying of public information” provides for the exemptions from payment of the fees for copying of public information:

a) Copying of information to the applicant’s floppy or compact disc;

b) Sending of public information by e-mail;

c) Copying of personal data of individuals stored in public institutions.

Fees for copying of public information must be paid in the bank, either by cash or through bank transfer (https://matsne.gov.ge/ka/document/view/74386?publication=102).

A copy of the requested public information shall be issued upon submission by the interested party of the payment receipt.
